Güde Alpha Barrel Oak
In collaboration with star chef Harald Rüssel, whose gourmet restaurant and hotel Landhaus St. Urban is located in a side valley of the Mosel-Saar-Ruwer wine-growing region, Güde has created this series – not only – for wine lovers and cooking enthusiasts.
The blade is hand-forged from a single piece of chrome-vanadium-molybdenum knife steel. Further processing involves over 40 manual steps. The handle scales are made from oak from over 80-year-old wine barrels, which have become virtually indestructible due to the long aging process. The blade is rust-proof, ice-hardened, and hand-sharpened – the handle is not dishwasher-safe.
